The De Paul Residential High School, Vavarath was selected as the Best School Campus in Ahmednagar District during year 2011. The award was instituted by the Government of Maharashtra under Sant Gadge Baba Village Cleanliness Program for complying with the Eco- Friendly measures in the School Campus.

The Award Includes a Certificate and Cash Prize of Rs.10,000/ (Ten Thousand Indian Rs). De Paul was selected from among 953 High schools spread all over 14 Talukas or sub- divisions of the District. The Award Committee comprising of 3 Class I officials of Zilla Parishad and a member of the District Association of the High school Head Masters made an on the spot inspection of the school campus months before and expressed their appreciation to the Administration. They were amazed to see the development made by the school in the draught prone, hilly, rocky, tribal, inaccessible and under developed area in such a short period of 10 years conforming to the environmental norms of cleanliness and development.

The award was declared on 20th January 2011 and to our surprise we got a formal letter about the selection which was received in our Administrative Office on 22. The Award was given jointly by the Guardian Minister of Ahmednagar District and Minister of Tribal Welfare, Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Babanrao Pachpute and the District Collector Dr. P. Anbalagan, in the presence of Mr. Krishnaprakash the DSP, The Zilla Parishad Chairperson Mrs. Shalinitai Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Mrs.Jyotipriya Singh the Dy.SP, and many other dignitaries from all walks of life during the District Level Republic Day Celebration on 26th February 2011at the Police Parade Ground in Ahmednagar. This prestigious Award was received jointly by Rev. Fr. Thomas Mullenmadackel VC, the Director and Rev. Sr. Gloria CMC the Head Mistress.

This award has brought the long years of the developmental activities of the Society in the limelight and people from every walk of life are taking note of the School in this remote Tribal area. Recently various dignitaries and prestigious institutions like Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi.
