• Mr. Sanjeev, Collector, Ahmednagar

I visited De Paul Institution with District Officers. The dedication and commitment with which Fr. Thomas and his team are working in this remote part of the District is exemplary. Your effort in providing quality education to the children of deprived communities would go in a long way in shaping the careers of hundreds of students. I am sure that your effort in creating on inclusive egalitarian society would inspire among many in this District and State for working selflessly for the people. Your work in the field of sustainable and eco-friendly development is worth emulating in many more villages. Looking forward to exiting relationship & association.

Rev.Fr. Thomas, & Sisters, On behalf of IGNOU Family, I would like to extend our heartiest greetings to one and all at the De Paul.
This exposure visit had certainly made us all to learn to have ‘desire’ in life. We could see those images & landscapes of tiny tots and other habitations living in perfect harmony and peace in the name of development.
We could appreciate a development which is people centric and guided by the principles of love and trust.
God bless us all to have stood to His expectations to love each other, care for one another & to take the first step as you did long time back. Your hospitality was another sign of affection & support to welcome us with whole heart.

  • Mr. Sanjay Gorad, Educational Superintended, Ahmednagar

    22nd December 2009
As I made the unannounced visit to the School today, I saw that the educational environment, Staff rooms, classrooms, school premises etc. were seen excellent and rejunavating. The classrooms were neat and commendable. The atmosphere of the school premises is beautiful and worth mentioning. I felt very beautiful seeing the attractive trees, proper use of the water and wastewater management. As it was a holiday students were not seen in plenty. If I am to praise the staff, Headmistress, and the founder Fr. Thomas, I felt that will be very improper and insufficient. I felt very comfortable seeing the school and surroundings. My hearty wishes for your activities in the future.

I am extremely happy and delighted to see the involvement of a dedicated team doing good things to the unreachable poor people in this tribal belt. I am specially impressed by the way they run the school and the orphanage, and maintain about 80 poor children. The salient feature of teaching in Marathi Medium is really laudable. With the limited means these institutions are run with their hard work. The agricultural activities the people have undertaken are very much appreciated. The Morning Star Charitable Trust and its trees are really worth for praise. May God bless them with abundance to do the charitable activities. I earnestly appreciate Father and the Sisters involved in the trust Activities.

Coming over to Vavarath De Paul Centre was a revelation as to what man can do for fellow have-nots in a remote, inaccessible and barely untouched area of Rahuri Thaluka in Ahmednagar District. The futuristic approach adopted by Fr. Thomas Mullenmadackel VC is an example for rural development, water conservation, and allied self – employment programme- goatery, fisheries, poultry, farming etc- for the upliftment of the tribal masses. Education is the key not only to personality development but also to economic as well as cultural development of these hapless forgotten community. The selfless service of the people involved here is an example for the whole country, an experiment worth emulating.

As we have visited here today at Vavarath we realized that in the form of Fr. Thomas, his friend doctor, Rev. Sisters and the staff really God is working here for the benefit of the poor people of this inaccessible area. Seeing the school, clinic, dairy farm, field, fruit trees, farming, and by tree plantation, we see the possibility of reversing the environment of the area like that of the vigor of Kashmir. We pray at the feet of God that He may give prolonged life to them that they may be able to serve the children of the poor and destitute and the people at large even in years ahead.

Fr. Thomas and CMC Sisters have started De Paul School and De Paul clinic in the inaccessible area of Vavarath in Rahuri Taluka. My mind is overwhelmed to see that these facilities are already provided here. As these two projects are started in this area that has no basic or infrastructural facilities the area will progress to integrated development. I wish Fr. Thomas and the Sisters every success in their activities and I appreciate them for the services they are rendering in this area.

It is indeed a great pleasure for me to pen these lines. I had the fortune to visit this Vavarath Mission station which is situated in a village. Rev. Fr. Thomas Mullenmadackel did a marvelous work here to improve the life situation of the poor people. My hearty congratulations to dear Rev. Fr. Thomas. Now our CMC Sisters are also doing a good service here. The School building is constructed well. May God bless you to do this project to give Him glory. My prayers are always with you.

  • Bishop Paul Chittilapilly, Bishop of Thamarassery (Former Bishop of Kalyan)

I am very happy to visit the new venture of the Vincentian Mission of the Eparchy of Kalyan. The growth of the Mission during the last eleven years (1991-2002) is marvelous. This particular Mission has placed before the poor people a ray of hope to improve the life situation, a model how to go about for the improvement, a source of inspiration to relate meaningfully with God and to be useful for the fellowmen. My hearty congratulation to Rev. Fr. Thomas Mullenmadackel, The Mission Superior and the CMC Sisters who have ventured to be instruments of the Apostolate.

Today, when I visited the construction of De Paul School and De Paul Clinic at Vavarath my heart was overwhelming. In Vavarath, a village that not even appear in the map of the Taluka (Sub division) and very inaccessible the Trust has undertaken the herculean task of establishing the School for the higher education of the sons and daughters of the poor people of the area. Words are not enough to praise the works, commitment and dedication of Fr. Thomas. I pray to Lord Jesus Christ that He may provide long life and good health for Fr. Thomas and all Rev. Sisters who are rendering their service in this Society for the benefit of the poor people of this village where there is no telephone, no transportation facility or proper road to reach. There is not even slightest doubt about the bright future of the activities of the Trust in this area. Wishing the very best to Fr. Thomas, all Rev. Sisters, all Staff of the Trust.
